Delightful brick and tile building inspired by the famous 1688 Meeting House at Jordans in Buckinghamshire. A simple building in a tranquil setting, reflecting the Quakers' beliefs. Fred Rowntree 1913.

Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church

Grade I listed Nonconformist church, set in the suburb's integrally planned Central Square to balance St Jude's Church nearby, but with a low concrete dome. Distinctive interior with large Tuscan columns on high brick plinths. Sir Edwin Lutyens 1911.

Waterhouse Offices are part of a mixed use sustainable development that includes Waterhouse Restaurant and conferencing facilities and courtyard. Shoreditch Trust commissioned Hackney-based furniture designer Richard Shed to work with local suppliers and manufacturers using natural materials from sustainable sources for the furniture throughout the scheme. Sir John Betjeman called the church the 'cathedral of the Arts and Crafts movement', containing recently conserved stained glass by Morris & Company (William Morris & Edward Burne-Jones), William Blake, Richmond and Christopher Whall. Grade I listed. J D Sedding 1888-90.

Led by Benedict O’Looney for the Peckham Society, this afternoon tour uses bicycles to highlight the very best architecture in Peckham covering 300 years of the neighbourhood’s history. Starting in the historic village core we will travel to both the east and west edges of the district celebrating the muscular Victorian civic buildings, industrial architecture and 20th century modernist experiments. All welcome.

Designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1896 the Cruciform Building was opened in 1906 as the new home for University College Hospital it now houses the UCL Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research and the UCL Medical School teaching facility. Many of the original unusual features have been retained including the Royal Dalton collected of tiled children's stories, especially commissioned for the then Children's Ward. Grade II listed building in a neo-Georgian design constructed of brown and blue brick with rubbed red brick and stone dressings and banding. The north facing elevation is symmetrical with a main 2-storey section, nine large multi paned casement windows wide and an attic storey with three small hipped dormers in a steeply sloping hipped clay roof.
