This year Open House has launched Art in the Open, a new advocacy body for art in the public realm. To coincide with this, Open House London is highlighting a number of buildings and places where artists have made a vital contribution. These range from artist and architect collaborations and temporary hoardings to permanent installations and sound and text works. All offer insights into the role that art can play in regeneration and placemaking.
Highlights include Lothar Götz's colourful hoarding in Barts Hospital, Bill Culbert's ariel neon artwork for Canary Wharf's Public Art Programme and Yuko Shiraishi's interior colourscape at the BBC Media Village.
